Dancing All The Way

My first memories about dance go way back to my primary school years. I clearly remember my teacher calling out the names of students selected for participating in the dance performance for PARENTS' DAY......and me, being the shy, timid girl in class, ducking behind my classmates to avoid being called. Unfortunately, I wasn't very lucky and in just a few seconds heard my name being called out!!! This was my first brush with the experience called DANCE and from then on, there was no looking back.
That very first dance gave me so much happiness, ecstasy, pleasure.....name any positive emotion and I felt it. I did lose a lot too.. I lost my shy demeanor, my stage fright, my introvert nature. It was not just some performance that I was practicing for, I could feel my inner self breaking free and flying.

From then on, year after year, dancing gave me immense strength to go on with life. It was not just for certain stage performances or programmes, but it helped me go through my daily mundane life with positive energy and vigor. If I felt happy, I shared a dance with my friends and family. If I felt low, I danced to bounce back. If I felt angry, I danced the hell out of my anger, until I felt tranquil. I danced to welcome the first rains. I danced to forget my worries.
They say dance, like any other form of exercise, releases ENDORPHINS, the happiness hormones. But, unlike any other form of exercise, I feel it takes away my pain....it liberates me, it pushes me forward.....It brings me BACK TO LIFE!!! 
SO IF YOU HAVEN'T TRIED IT YET, PUT ON THOSE DANCING SHOES AND FEEL IT FOR YOURSELF... TRUST ME, YOU WON'T REGRET IT!!!

  2. As small kids i mean 2 to 3 year olds we never hesitate to groove to the music...as we grow we kinda forget how enjoyable it is
