Indulgence, thy name is bliss!!! Many people indulge themselves in many ways. They have their own desires and passion like dance, many sports activities, reading books, speech & drama etc. I always wanted to indulge in Music from my childhood days.
Music is an art form and cultural activity whose medium is sound organized in time. It helps us rejuvenate and is a matter of energies and inspirations. I am attached to music right from my childhood days. Every morning we listen to different types of music and will dance to anything with a good beat.
Music is like yoga, it makes us happy and helps in keeping hormonal balance in the body. Listening to music helps us to focus and also relax our body. It makes my mind peaceful and fills with positive thoughts. It touches the spirit and would always remain in some form in this world.
Music plays an important role in everyday life in form of rituals, ceremony and social gathering. People make music as a hobby as they enjoy singing from their teen’s time or by working as a professional singer. My daughter learns "Karnatic" music (classical) and enjoys to listen music a lot.
I would like to share one of my experience with Music. I have been learning music from the tender age of 5 till I was 20. We used to learn classical music thrice a week. On any auspicious occasion/puja, our teacher used to make us sing classical songs. It used to a blissful and divine feeling. When I started working at the age of 21, could not give much time to music and therefore had to discontinue. But still feel so happy when I listen to any type of music. It makes my day!!!!
Music therapy gives everyone an enjoyable, supportive and creative environment where they can express themselves. Music therapy also helps in pain management and a person’s ability to cope with stress. For children and adults, music helps strengthen memory skills. Just think about listening to a good song on the car radio with the window down on a beautiful day. That’s joy!
There is a very true saying about the music that “Music imitates life and life imitates music”.

A wonderful post Rupa. Music to me is truly therapeutic. I enjoy any kind of music that touches my heart. Generally music is always playing in the background when I work at home.

DeleteMusic is a great way to indulge! I still haven't figured what is it that I like to indulge into. Indulgence for me is a day at salon occasionally, or pampering myself with loads of shopping, etc!
