Off late my cell phone was responding at the snail's pace. My impatience and the speed of my phone were growing in inverse proportion. Not a peaceful spot at all! In spite of clearing its RAM space using the app, the cellphone was giving me cold shoulder! On inspecting the internal storage and SD card storage, I realised that I was running out of space. Freeing up the memory was the only solution. So I turned to my gallery.
Its another story that I was carried away, so easily, while going through innumerable snaps. I felt like a kid left all on my own at the Hamely's ! At one point of time, I was so lost in them that I forgot why had I started this exercise in the first place? Most of the snaps were from the recent celebrations that we had for Independence Day, Raksha Bandhan, and Ganapti festival. Some were from the outing that we had over the long week end.
One such snap that caught my fancy was that of the Iron Pillar, Qutub Minar Complex, Delhi.
It was just a few days back that I had visited Delhi with my family in tow. Standing tall with all its glory and not getting dwarfed by the Qutub Minar that stood in the vicinity, was this pillar of strength... the Iron Pillar!
Tall, dark and handsome...was my first reaction when I saw it from a distance! As I approached it, I could see some inscriptions on it in Brahmi and Sanskrit. Apart from its history, what caught my attention were the indentation marks on it. In the mean time, learnt from the guide that many attempts were made for uprooting and demolishing it. But it did not cave in. Neither the natural forces could corrode it! It stands unyielding, till date, with all its considerable charm and without getting affected either by Nature or by man. That really had a great impression on my mind!
Looking at the picture, this time however, some random thoughts pooled up. Was it a symbol of human nature, I mused. Come sun or rain, through thick and thin, some noble souls just go unscathed! There may be more to it than eyes can see, but still... Their clam and composed manners remain unspoiled. No adversity seem to have detered them. No pain could ever erode the strength of their character. What are such people really made of?, I tried to contemplate... Perhaps the circumstances have shaped them so. Perhaps its their survival instinct, adapatbility. Perhaps they have steely resolves. Perhaps its self belief. Oh..there could be so many...I reflected!
What ever might have been the reason, one thing is true for sure, that such stellar personalities are one of their kind! We adore them, cherish them and treasure them! These rare species provide us strength to move on in life. Their wisdom lights up our spirit. And when I search for them on the timeline of my life, I am so fortunate to have a couple of them! I am sure, even you might have such human "Iron Pillars" in your life too!

I guess very few of us have the talent to focus positively and wade through the typhoons that we face in our lives. Most of us give up before we fight back.
