Statue

The day has just begun. The rays had barely touched the floor.

Roses in the corner vase were gleaming! She took a deep breath, shook her head in affirmation. The staff had been doing their duties perfectly well, she thought! Soon she was readied by the assistant.

“Now is the time to meet my fans. They must be waiting patiently at the gates. What a life! Glamour and money… all that I ever wished for”, she reminisced. She ambled towards the window and pulled the curtains back with a picture-perfect smile.

She frantically stretched her arm, held her hand in front of her face.

“No, No Paparazzi. Guards catch them. Snatch their cameras”, she howled.

Before she got violent, the staff nurse administered her the tranquilizer. “Not again dear!”, said the nurse.

The diva of yesteryear soon sat in the corner as expressionless as her statue at Madame Tussauds!
